# Greater than test

Learn how to check if a value is greater than to another.

## Syntax

This test has the following syntax:

```cql
/*<value>*/ is greater than /*<reference>*/
```

To negate the test, you can write:

```cql
/*<value>*/ is not greater than /*<reference>*/
```

## Parameters

These are the supported parameters:

- `value`: `comparable`

  The value to compare with the reference value.

- `reference`: `comparable`

  The value to compare against.

## Examples

Here is a basic example of how to check whether a value is greater than another value:

```
