This widget displays the average number of pages viewed per session within the selected period. It helps you understand how users browse on your application, whether they explore multiple pages or tend to visit only one before leaving.

The comparison with the previous period allows you to identify changes in engagement depth and detect whether users are exploring more or less content over time.

### What the number tells you

Here are some common insights you can get from this widget:

- An increase in average pageviews per session could suggest stronger engagement and effective navigation. Users may find your content more relevant, or new features and recommendations may encourage deeper exploration.
- Stable average pageviews per session indicate consistent user behavior and navigation patterns.
- A decrease in average pageviews per session may indicate reduced engagement, usability issues, or less relevant content. Check for recent changes in layout, content, or user flow that could be affecting how easily users discover additional pages.
