# Active experiences

Track how many experiences are currently active in your application.

This widget shows the total number of active experiences within the selected date range. It also compares this total to the previous period, helping you understand how your strategy is evolving over time.

## Metrics

The chart includes:

1. **Active experiences**\
   The count of experiences currently running in your application.

> **Question: What does the comparison over the last period mean?**
>
> It represents the growth or decline of the metric compared to the previous period.
>
> The *last period* refers to the date filter you selected. For example, if the filter is set to the **last 7 days**, the *last period* will be the **7 days immediately before that range**.

## Interpretation

This metric shows the level of personalization and experimentation users are exposed to. A higher number of active experiences usually indicates that users are seeing more tailored, dynamic content across the application.
