# Slot default content

Learn where to manage the default content of your site.

The slot's [default content](/explanation/slot#default-content) is what your users see when they do not match any active [experience](/explanation/experience/introduction) or experiment.

It is also used in other scenarios, such as:

- To provide content for [bots and crawlers excluded by bot filtering](/explanation/workspace/bot-exclusion).
- As the [fallback content](/explanation/content/fallback-content) when Croct is integrated via the CLI.

This is the step-by-step to edit your slot content:

1. [Find your slot](https://app.croct.com/redirect/organizations/-organization-/workspaces/-workspace-/slots) and choose the one you want to work on.

2. Click the content card for the locale you want to edit.

3. In the form, edit the content as needed.

4. Ready? Click **Save**.

When working with localized content, repeat this process for as many locales as you need. When you are done, click **Save** again.
